Job description
As ICT Technical Support Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring business continuity of all supported ICT & Digital products and platforms, with a clear focus on manufacturing. You are as well responsible for implementing changes to ICT & Digital products & platforms. You will ensure this by either providing technical competence or by cooperating with external parties. You are equally responsible for following up the service levels towards the end users as well as following up the service level provided by the different service providers. Finally, you will act a the link between the automation department and the ICT department.
Some of your daily tasks:
- First point of contact for all manufacturing related ICT infrastructure topics
- You will focus on all connected devices on the production line, including (label) printers, PLCs, …
- You will as well support the end users on the production sites.
- Proactive resolution
- Evaluate monitoring reports of the different ICT environments
- Evaluate incidents and propose & execute improvements
- Monitor & evaluate security incidents & reports
- Build-up in house competence for resolving issues in the most business critical business applications
- Implement more robust platforms
- Represent the end-user within the ICT organization and propose projects to improve the service levels and the end user experience
- Improvement projects / Changes
- You proactively propose and implement improvements to the existing ICT infrastructure
- End to end follow up and monitoring of ICT infrastructure and end user application projects;
- Anticipate and analyse end user business needs
- Platform & process optimization
Your profile
- Bachelor ICT or equivalent
- Knowledge of supporting ICT infrastructure is key
- Label printing
- Label printing software (e.g. Nicelabel)
- Microsoft (Azure) Active Directory
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Networking & Wi-Fi
- Workstation and mobile device management portals
- Knowledge of end user workplaces is key
- Windows 10/11
- Office 365 applications
- Smartphone devices (iPhone / iPad / Android)
- Knowledge of the following is an asset
- Security monitoring and reporting
- Windows Server Management
- Security incident resolution
- Linux administration and set up
- Remote software installation
- Virtualization environments (VMware / Hyper-V)
- Firewalls
- Powershell and/or Bash scripting
- IP telephony
- You are very accurate
- You are a communicative & assertive teamplayer
- You have sufficient maturity to work in an international manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills and strong problem solving capabilities
- You can work independently
- You are able to set the right priorities in a manufacturing environments and can cope with stress.
- Language skills: Proficient in French, English & Dutch. Knowledge of German is asset
- You live within 30 minutes reach from Mouscron
